At Parkwood Clinic, we are proud to be recognized as a leading outpatient clinic that collaborates with top Speech-Language Pathology graduate programs nationwide. Our mission is to create a rich and engaging internship experience for students, mentoring the next generation of Speech-Language Pathologists in this growing and impactful field.
Our Graduate Student Clinicians are carefully selected through a rigorous process that evaluates their exceptional performance early in their training programs and through interviews with our clinical supervisors. This ensures we work with highly motivated and talented students ready to excel in their field.
We take pride in offering a premier externship experience for graduate students seeking hands-on exposure in private practice. Beyond meeting the basic standards set by ASHA and state guidelines, we provide close supervision and structured support throughout their time with us. Our clinical supervisors, who are trained extensively in graduate student mentorship, collaborate closely with our Director of Clinical Education to ensure a positive and productive experience for both the mentor and the mentee. To date, we have proudly trained over 50 graduate student clinicians who have gone on to become successful, practicing Speech-Language Pathologists.
We have also built strong partnerships with over 15 esteemed universities, including Portland State University, Pacific University, the University of Oregon, the University of Washington, Baylor University, NYU, and Emerson College, among others. These collaborations allow us to contribute meaningfully to the professional development of future clinicians while strengthening our connections within the academic community. At Parkwood Clinic, we are honored to play a role in shaping the future of Speech-Language Pathology through our commitment to excellence in education and training.
Erin has been a part of the Parkwood Team in various capacities for almost ten years and as an SLP for the last six. She enjoys assessing and treating literacy, speech sound, and orofacial myofunctional disorders. She prides herself on going above and beyond for the families that she serves; getting to know each child and family as individuals. Erin loves collaborating with a child’s team and fostering communication that leads to excellent care.
